Cindy Vero

If you need help navigating through traffic or the latest celebrity
gossip there’s only one person that covers it all for you - Cindy Vero!
Cindy grew up in North Jersey and holds a degree in Broadcast Journalism from Rowan University. Cindy got the radio ball rolling by doing college voice over ads and working at her college radio station WGLS-FM.

Upon graduation she snagged an internship at WYNY (which is now KTU) where she worked in promotions and was a phone and board operator. During this time she also freelanced at MTV News and worked weekends jocking at WTBQ-AM in Florida, New York. But she didn't stop there-Cindy also got a part time job at Shadow Traffic and WVNJ-FM in
Teaneck, New Jersey and continued to learn as much as she could about the world of Radio.

Eventually things settled down for Cindy and she stayed at Shadow
Traffic and worked steadily within the entertainment, news and
traffic operations departments. This opportunity allowed her to
really get involved in all aspects of broadcasting, editing, and
writing. While working mornings at Shadow, Cindy landed a gig doing
midday's and production at WBRW-AM in Bridgewater, New Jersey.

"After a year at WBRW, the station was sold and I got another job at
WJHR-AM a brand new station in Flemington, New Jersey doing the same
thing. I didn't miss a beat!! It was crazy!! I was in early mornings
at Shadow and then I drove to both stations for my midday shifts and
worked in a variety of restaurants from 5 or 6 until midnight. Not to
mention working weekends up at WTBQ.”

Cindy worked at WJHR for almost 2 years when she submitted a tape to
Metro Traffic. She took the job at Metro and left WJHR and Shadow
after 3 years. While at Metro, she worked a split shift allowing her
to deliver entertainment news, sports and traffic to Metro’s
affiliates and doubling her exposure in the New York market.

After 2 years at Metro, Cindy worked at another traffic supply
company, Traffic.Com where she had the chance to fill in on a slew of
New York Radio stations including ESPN Radio, Jammin' 105, KTU, WALK-FM, and Z100.
While doing this, she also did fill-in, overnights and weekends at
WDHA-FM.

When Cindy was working at Jammin' 105, she was approached about a new
show at WKTU which happened to be Baltazar and Goumba Johnny in the
Morning! She jumped at the opportunity and also picked up afternoon
drive time with Broadway Bill Lee.

Cindy is no stranger to hard work and her flexible, friendly and
dazzling personality has brought her here to KTU to continue doing what she loves best- entertaining the listeners! In her spare time, Cindy does
voice-over work, redecorates houses and rides motorcycles with her husband Tony.
