Lisa Landry

Lisa Landry is one of the most fearless and innovative women working in the New York City stand-up comedy scene. Her fresh take on the traditional topics of family, love and modern life earned her the distinction of starring in her own half hour special "Comedy Central Presents Lisa Landry." And a nationwide audience vote catapulted her special to third place in Comedy Central's 2008 Annual Standup Showdown. Landry is the first woman to ever place in the top three. She can also be seen in the frequent re-runs of her 2005 appearance on Comedy Central's popular show "Premium Blend." This spring Landry is shooting her first pilot for the network.

The Louisiana native is featured on the "Brett Butler Presents: The Southern Belles of Comedy" DVD and tour slated for release this fall. She's done commentary on CMT's "20 Greates Redneck Moments" and for E!'s "Forbes Top 100 Celebrities." Guest appearances include Fox's "Mike and Juliet in the Morning Show", the "Bob and Tom Show", Fox's "Redeye" and the outrageous "Hollyweird" segment on MSNBC's "Scarborough Country". Her comedy routines can be heard on Sirius Satellite Radio's "Raw Dog" and "Blue Collar Comedy" channels and she's often in their studios doing live interviews, too.

An extremely versatile performer- Landry's also recorded a wide-range of voice over spots for radio (Nextel, Cingular), industrials (Yahoo, Deutche Bank) and television (the Travel Channel, A&E), co-starred on "Law and Order: SVU" and is a contributing writer to US Weekly's satirical "Fashion Police."

One of the most sought-after female comedians in the business, her hectic schedule keeps her constantly on-stage at clubs, theaters and colleges throughout the country. Lisa Landry's easy going style- along with her sharp wit, unique perspective and well-crafted material- makes her an audience favorite.
