Kira Soltanovich is currently a series regular on Girls Behaving Badly, an all-female hidden camera show on the Oxygen Network. She is also writing and rehearsing for a new sketch show that is slated for HBO next season.
A stand-up comic, actress and writer, Kira is a mainstay on the Los Angeles comedy scene. Her stand-up is high energy, physical and tremendously sharp. Kira is currently a regular at the Los Angeles Comedy Store and Hollywood Improv. When she's not entertaining locally, you might find her on the road performing in clubs and colleges all across the country.
Kira competed in the Boston Comedy Festival and was selected to participate in the Seattle International Comedy Competition. She recently completed her first USO Comedy Tour where she entertained the American troops in Japan.
In 2003, Kira was a semi-finalist in Comedy Central's Laugh Riots. Kira co-produced L.A.'s Funniest Women, was a finalist in Ladies of the Night, a semi-finalist this past year in California's Funniest Female, and one of the 1st place finalists in the Los Angeles Survival of the Funniest contest. She also performed at the Hollywood Egyptian Theatre in 15 Minutes of Fem.
She was one of eight comics selected out of 1,000 to perform a scene from her own television sitcom pilot in the ABC Comedy Development Showcase. ABC called her one of the "Hottest new comedy writers."
She has completed several independent films, national commercials and television guest spots which include 18 Wheels of Justice, 3rd Rock from the Sun and a sketch on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. |
